Yes it is, but not as cold as it was. Which reminds me of why we are here at Prius blog looking at these beautiful machines that get us to work in a eco friendly way, choosing the ECO option. So, where were we?…Yes, it’s cold but the heated seats of a Prius will make it all better. Some of the favorite features of a Prius for us Prius enthusiasts are heated seat and mirrors, drive modes, and a powerful electric motor that I have heard can power a house. Plenty of power under such a compact design.

While yes, in the coldest month’s of the year we will have to wait for our car to warm up, the Prius will automatically go on stand by mode, turning of the gas powered engine and therefore saving fuel, only to automatically restart itself when needed. This feature is the same that shuts off some cars at intersections while waiting for the light to turn green, with the difference is that our humble Prius sips gas like from a juice box, when V8 gulps gas next to us. And, yes the giant truck next to us has engine shut off, but gives what? my old van gave me 11 miles to the gallon
