Prius.blog and What to Expect

So, what to expect? Since the inside of a car is something what we look into, perhaps only when we first buy it, have ever ran out of battery, or regularly for those of us enthusiast that do our own routine oil change, one would expect the Prius would look different. Well, of course, but not to different. Prius come with a 1.8 or 2.0 gas sipping engine, asides the electric generator next to it. Yes a generator like the one you would use to power a house. Yes. it has additional cooling reservoir for the electric, but it has all the expected components of a regular car, but this one is… extra crispy.

Yes, running out of battery is something that could ruin anyone’s afternoon. And the question or confusion would be about the battery packs and the potentially intimidating the extra goodies a Prius has, but with 100k plus miles driven on a Prius the answer is: No, my Prius has never ‘ran out’ of battery. Yes there’s a lot to grasp when looking under the hood of any car, but think of a Prius as having an extra giant battery, like from a giant remote control car, but better because you don’t have to charge it, it charges itself every time you coast or press on the brake. With plenty to look at, and ever little maintenance needed, because, well, it’s a Toyota, the Prius gives you reliability and peace of mind that won’t dissapoint. Happy driving 🙂
